Photo Recognition Search has what it takes to search for a face that you want to see right away. Check out this post to find out more.

Photo Recognition Search Guide: Search Engines That Search for Face

A face isn’t as distinctive and ageless as a fingerprint, but it’s far easier to capture and search for. When combined with data from security cameras or internet profiles, facial recognition is a formidable tool for locating individuals and following their every move.

On the other hand, a face search might disclose your online (famous) lookalikes or your age.

Here are a few facial recognition search engines that could interest you. Let’s have a look at what they disclose about you or your pals.

Reverse Face Search on Google Images

Did you know you could use Google to search for images? You may search for comparable pictures using an idea rather than a phrase.

To search by image, click the camera icon. Google will discover comparable photos if you either paste the image URL or upload an image.

Furthermore, by adding a little piece of code, you can have Google search for faces.

Enter your query into Google Images Search, click Enter, and then add “&imgtype=face” (without the quotes) to the end of the search URL or just before another string beginning with &.

This will boost the results of your face-related search even more.

When you add the picture type to the URL, this option will appear under Tools > Type.

Google Photographs now has facial recognition, allowing you to search for individuals and even pets in your photos.

Face Recognition with PicTriev

PicTriev takes it a step further by actively looking for people with similar looks. Unfortunately, the function is only available for celebrities who look like them.

Enter the URL or submit a photo in JPG or JPEG format with a maximum file size of 200 KB, and the search engine will return matched celebrity photographs discovered online.

Some others used their own headshots as demonstrations. While PicTriev accurately classified me as predominantly female, Jason Clarke was the number one match. The age estimate of 30 is, on the other hand, quite flattering.

When you look for a celebrity image, it works considerably better.

PicTriev also allows you to analyze the resemblance of two faces and determine whether two photographs of the same person are the same person. Click the meter symbol in the upper right corner, upload two images, choose similarity or identity, and let PicTriev do the math.

For the best results, make sure you follow the formatting guidelines before adding photographs.

TinEye: Image Reverse Search

TinEye’s reverse image search is similar to Google’s. You may upload a picture or search for it by pasting a URL. TinEye does not allow any more search operators, keeping it simpler and more basic.

TinEye discovered three hits in my test, one of which Google did not list since the site had expired years ago.

It also overlooked a recent result that its older sibling had discovered. This implies to me that TinEye’s search index is mainly out of date.

TinEye, unlike Google, links directly to the pages where it found the photos and ignores similar images.
